When Good News is Not Justified

11.20.07 (9:25 pm)   [edit]

The good news in all the major papers today is that there is progress being made in Iraq because death and attacks are down. The devil is in the details, there are 4 million less people in Iraq than before the war started they are refugee's in Jordan and Syria. We have 20 thousand more troops in the country and 4 million less citizens so should the attacks and deaths decrease considering those two variables. There is still no functioning government in Iraq. So what's the good news and when are the troops going to be able to withdraw.

WHAT HYPOCRITS WE ARE

11.16.07 (3:15 pm)   [edit]

The issue of drivers license for illegal aliens or undocumented people exposes us for what we are as an electorate. Undocumented workers are every where, in our kitchen cooking food, preparing our meals in the restaurants, keeping our kids, building and cleaning our homes and offices even working on military bases and in our airports as screeners, They own homes in our neighbor hood they have credit cards bank accounts and their sons and daughters serve in our military, they drive cars illegally out of necessity because we have let the politicians influence us into believing that to allow them to drive legally is a serous security risk to our system. Wouldn't it be nice to know that they know the rules of the road and have insurance just in case they ran over you or one of your love ones. We can forget the deportation issue remember if it took us 6 months to get 20000 troops to Iraq just think how long it would take us to deport 20000000 undocumented workers. I think we are smart enough to devise some system of licensing undocumented workers so that they could drive legal. Many argue that would try to vote and screw up our election system. Undocumented people were not and issue in Florida in 2000 or in Ohio in 2004 and look how we screwed that up.
