What Happened?

08.29.07 (12:41 pm)   [edit]

I bet this is the question President Bush ask himself, think Donald Rumsfeld the expert war tactician whose tactics couldn't defeat a bunch of unorganized individuals not an army in three years. After the dismal results he resigned, Carl Rove the smartest politician in the world, one who could get a monkey elected over a democrat, in the mid term election of 2006 he met his Waterloo every democrat who ran beat his candidate. Rove was able to vilify gays, lesbians and state any one who offered them sympathy did not have family values. We discovered that the republican politicians had family values but did not value their families. Look at what's happening, there are more gays who professed family values turned out to be gay and actively involved in the homosexual life style than can be imaged. I guess he forgot about the log cabin republicans a bunch of gay men who claimed to be republicans. The republicans claim that there is a double standard because democrats get away with it, the reason it looks so bad for republicans is that they are such hypocrites when it comes to sexual preference and orientation. And irregardless of what shenanigans they are caught in they always blame poor Bill Clinton, I didn't realize how popular this guy is until all the elected republicans and religious leaders started emulating his bad behavior.

The Nana Complex

08.23.07 (12:57 pm)   [edit]

President Bush spoke in front of one of his favorite audiences on 22 Aug 07 the veterans of foreign wars. He raised the old Vietnam argument of if we leave the country it will result in turmoil and lot of people loosing there lives due to sectarian violence. As an old Viet Nam vet I can remember the stories about the domino effect of Asian countries falling under communism and the light at the end of the tunnel. The problem  was that the tunnel kept getting longer and the light kept getting farther away after fifty eight thousand deaths did somebody realize that this was an effort in futility. President Bush wants to repeat the same fiasco, he is now talking about staying the course and nobody can save Iraq but us. What a condesending attitude toward the surrounding countries such as Iran  Syria, Jordan and Egypt. Do we have to be an occupier to save these countries, Remember we went in as liberators not occupiers but the Nana complex of mother knows best keeps raising it's ugly head and the goal post keeps moving farther away with each failed event.

Illogic Reasoning regarding Health Care

08.21.07 (2:17 pm)   [edit]

After being privileged to have the finest Health Care in the world provided by the U.S. military for 24 years, I am astounded by the logic given by the politicians of why the same care can't be provided for all U.S. citizens.  When health care is mentioned, especially universal health care, the immediate response by the politicians and cooperates big Whigs is that it would be to big, to inefficient and to costly. Have you ever thought about the fact that You and I  as American tax payers provide universal health care to the military and the politicians and the medical staff that provide the health care that is professional, efficient and effective, but we who are paying the freight for them to receive it is not entitled to it. If the politicians can provide a health care system for them that is professional and cost effective why can't they do for us. After being introduced to the present system I was astounded at the hidden cost and I wasn't sick. I was ordered by my health care provider to go and take some test even though I wasn't ill or presented any symptoms of an impending illness. after paying my monthly medical premium I had to ante up 30.00 for a doctor visit,24 dollars for an unnecessary X ray and 20.00 dollars for a bottle of 100 baby aspirins, Only God knows what the cost would have been if I had been Ill.

To Late for Fact Checking

08.12.07 (12:08 am)   [edit]

The New Republic published a diary from a army PFC by the name of Beauchamp. pfc Beachamp embellished the events of war in his diary that was published. The Weekly Standard and Fox News especially Michelle Malkin were all over the New republic for printing  PFC Beauchamp article without fact checking his story. Some how  their demands ring hollow because if they were so concerned about the facts, why didn't they insist on checking the facts on the propaganda that Vice President Cheney was feeding to Michael Cooper, Judith Miller and Robert Novak that caused America to be involved in the Iraq war, remember the mushroom clouds, smoking gun and aluminum tube all represented an ominous and immediate threat to our security that proved to be false.

A conspiracy worth impeachment

08.09.07 (11:35 pm)   [edit]

I have just finish watching the program by Bill Morrow entitled selling the war. I am discouraged in how certain members of the press allowed themselves to be used without asking pertinent questions to ascertain if what the administration was leaking to them was fact or fiction. Judith Miller,Robert Novak and Fox News were the real villains. The conspiracy went like this, the Vice President would leak certain information to the press and after it was printed, the Vice President and Secretary of State and a few of their minions would flood the talk shows affirming what the press printed. Many of their lies have been disproved such as the meeting of an al qaeda agent and a Saddam representative in Prague, the aluminum tube fiasco by Colin Powell and the purchase of uranium in Niger by a Saddam agent. All these assertion by the administration has proven to be false. There are over 3600 military fatalities, 25000 wounded, some so severely that they will never be able to carry on their life independently and we say that impeachment is not on the table.
